Candle Care
The basic elements of candle magic is “Setting your Intention”
The magic starts when you set your intention. Intention is the key to any ritual or magical practice.
On a symbolic level, a candle embodies 5 elements
Earth - Water - Air - Fire - Spirit
The wick and base signify Earth and are vital for keeping the flame steady and grounded
The wax, which transforms from a solid to a liquid, and then to a gas, emulates the transmutational properties of the Water element.
Oxygen, representative of Air, is crucial for both keeping the flame lit and extinguishing it.
The flame, which is a direct connection to Fire, the element of transformation and rebirth. Fire also represents passion and governs our willpower.
Then there’s the 5th element Spirit, which is when you focus your intention into the candle and infuse it with your soul and energy.

How to use a “With GOOD Intentions” RITUAL CANDLE
The First Burn is the Most Important!
When you light your candle for the first time, always allow the wax to burn so that it melts across the entire surface to the edges and pools to the edges of the container. This will effectively assist in preventing tunneling and help promote an even burn for the duration of the candle's life. This may take approx. 2 ½ to 3 hours.
Keep your wick trimmed! - We recommend trimming the wick to 5mm before each burn.
Avoid burning more than 4 Hours in one sitting - If you choose to burn for more than 3 to 4 hours, we suggest to exquisite the candle out, allow the candle to cool for 2 hours before relighting.
Candles are meant to be enjoyed, but it is important that you follow some commonsense safety rules when burning them.
Never leave a burning candle unattended. Extinguish all candles when you leave a room or before going to sleep.
Follow the 2-foot rule - don't place a burning candle within two feet of clothing, books, curtains or anything flammable.
Keep lit candles away from draughts, ceiling fans and any air currents. Any form of air current can cause uneven burning, smoking, diminish the scent throw and even decrease the burn time.
Trim the wick to 5mm each time the candle is lit. This helps prevent the flame from getting too large.
Keep candles out of reach of children and pets.
Place candle holders on a stable, heat-resistant surface that is sturdy and large enough to catch any melted wax.
Always read and follow manufacturers' directions for use and safety, and extinguish a candle if the flame gets too close to the candle holder or container.
Place burning candles at least 10cm apart from one another.
A burning candle should not be used as a nightlight.
The Candle should not be burned for more than four hours at a time.
Do not burn the candle if the container is cracked, chipped, scratched or damaged in any way.
If the candle is burning correctly, it should be constant ,teardrop shaped and upright. (not flickering)
