Miss Me . . But Let Me Go
Message
When I come to the end of the road and the Sun has set for me. I want no rites in a gloom filled room, why cry for a soul set free. Miss me a little but not for long and not with your head bowed low. Remember the love that we once shared, miss me a little, but let me go. For this is a journey that we all must take, as each must go alone. It’s all part of the master’s plan, a step on the road to home. When you are lonely and sick of heart, go to the friends we know, and bury your sorrows in doing good deeds, Miss me, but let me go.

Honouring the life and memory of someone who has died
Allowing grief, sadness and longing to be felt without shame
Finding comfort during funerals, memorials and anniversaries
Remembering the love and life that were shared
Accepting that grief may return in different seasons
Releasing guilt about experiencing happiness again
Continuing to live while carrying their memory forward
Finding strength to reconnect with family, friends and daily life
Moving forward without feeling that you are leaving them behind
Reflection
When someone we love dies, we do not simply stop missing them. Their absence may be felt in ordinary moments, familiar places and the milestones we wish they were still here to share. Grief deserves time, patience and compassion. There is no need to rush it or pretend that the loss no longer hurts. But continuing to live does not mean that you have forgotten them. Laughter does not diminish your love. Happiness does not erase their importance. Moving forward does not mean leaving them behind. Carry their memory with you, speak their name and remember the life you shared. Allow yourself to keep loving, connecting and experiencing the days still ahead of you. Each of us will reach the end of our own journey in time. Until then, keep living. Keep moving forward. Let the love remain, even as you slowly learn to release the pain.
